"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." ~Gordon B. Hinckley

Delainee Cello Recital

Delainee TRULY is a budding musician.  She has been taking cellos lessons for almost a year now, and she is doing amazing.  As this recital was approaching, Delainee actually asked me to wake her up 10 minutes earlier each morning so that she could practice--WOW!!!  She is truly dedicated to her craft and it shows....  She had a solo performance and then the WHOLE group performed together.  I LOVE the smile on her face in the last shot...

He came, hopping into our living room in the middle of the night, bringing his usual springtime spoils... Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Book Club Minute to Win It

Last year i did the Amazing Race for our BookClub couples party, and THIS year Julie Spilsbury put together a fun night of Minute to Win it.  We were supposed to have the event in the Cunningham's back yard, but due to inclement weather, we moved it inside to the church.  I was taking video MOST of the night, so i actually don't have a ton of still shots.  But good times were DEFINITELY had by all.  I think the GOODMAN's win the prize for being the most competetive with each OTHER, Rachel wins the prize for the best winning 'pose', Shelly wins the prize for the best game face,  but the BROADBENTS win for the most exciting event of the night!

We started with dinner hosted by Steve's Krazy Sub of course--since the KRUMMENACHER'S were in the house.  And finished it off with a soft serve ice cream bar.

We ended up splitting up into boys against girls so that each person could compete against their significant other. Those boys played down right DIRTY!!!!  Despite their cheating and attempts at sabotage, the girls held their own.  Jen and Forrest weren't QUITE engaged yet when we put them through this torture.... Ü

The contestants in order of appearance...
BROADBENT's, CUNNINGHAM's, FISCHBECK's, GLOVER's, GOODMAN's, JENSEN's, KRUMMENACHER's, LOMU's, MILLETT's, the future MR and MRS. PETERSON, SPILSBURY's, WHITE's,
not in attendace... the CLARKSON's, the THOMAS', and the BLACK's
