"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." ~Gordon B. Hinckley

Let's Play Music Recital

Wow what a night!!!! We started at 6:00 p.m. with our combined 1st and 2nd Years "End of the Year Program". We had 40 little Blue Bugs up on that stage in addition to 23 Yellow Indians when it came time for the grand finale of Do Re Mi! But our little Laetner did such a great job. I learned many things about what not to do next year, mainly to not let it be soooo long next time...SIGH! Laetner didn't care, he was just excited to get his certificate and a whistle pop!

We scooted everybody out just in time for our 3rd year recital. This was Delainee's special year to graduate from Let's Play Music and she culminated it all by performing her very own piece that she composed herself. In attendance were some friends of my in-laws, and they sent the following in an email to Mama Maurio that describes Delainee to a tee....

Last evening we attended the “Let’s Play Music Recital” where our grandson was performing his original composition of “Revolutionary War.” On the same program your granddaughter, Delainee, was performing her original composition of “Playing Outside.”

Delainee had a dainty, lady-like appearance with her hair in little ringlets, a touch of make-up for the occasion and she was wearing a pretty little dress. She had a beautiful presentation and her performance was well executed and well received.

She did such a wonderful job. She is SERIOUSLY talented, and cannot wait to see where she goes from here...
