"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." ~Gordon B. Hinckley

Snowflake/Taylor Harvest Fest

So I hear that there is a Harvest Fest in Snowflake on October 10th (the Saturday before Fall Break). We decide to head up with our dear friends the Stewarts! When we pulled up to the chamber of commerce we were a little frightened. There were like 8 booths with various jewelry and/0r food booths and that was IT. I was sick to my stomach that I had made everyone come all that way for nothing. But then we saw a little tractor ride that said it would take you the the Willis Pumpkin Patch for a dollor---so we all piled on.

We started with the corn maze and it was pretty tough! But we managed to get all six punches on our cards and turned them in for a tootsie pop (valued at $6! Ü)

We jumped back onto the tractor and it took us to the actual pumpkin patch. There we got to sling shot pieces of corn at a scarecrow in the field for 25 cents a shot---totally worth it.

We also got to take a ride around the farm in these cute little barrels. They were attached to the back of a quad. I would love to get these for the Fischbeck Cabin.

Notice that everybody still has their well earned tootsie pops...

For a while it looked like Delainee just wasn't having a good time...

but after my initial worry it all turned out pretty good.

Although the Indian Fry Bread for lunch was a little disappointing! Ü
