"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." ~Gordon B. Hinckley

Stuffington Bear Factory

Wipe a tear for Laetner's first official school field trip. The kindergartners headed over to the Stuffington Bear Factory in Phoenix to create their own new best friend! They got to choose the color of bear and then got to stuff him. Laetner told me that he used both blue and pink stuffing in the bear---and he was pretty proud of that fact! But when I asked for clarification from Aunt Shelby (who was a volunteer for the field trip) she explained that the canister of stuffing had lighting that would slowly change the color inside of the canister (causing the EVER white stuffing to take on different hues)
Oh well, he is happy with the outcome!

As soon as he walked in the door with his new creation, Delainee ran down the hall to retrieve the bear from when she did the same field trip in kindergarten...

Slightly different color and we lost the ribbon, but alas they are cousins at least, right? Photobucket

Along with the bear itself, we were awarded with an official birth certificate to document the momentous occasion and name christening!

Big shocker that the name for his new best friend is MARIO!
(named in honor of his grandmother's february 5th birthday I am sure)
